Etiopathy is a method of analysis aiming to determine the cause of physical disorders. Indeed, a disorder or disease is defined primarily by its cause rather than by its symptoms (pain, swelling, etc.).
In order to find the cause, etiopathy makes use not only of anatomy and physiology, but also of recent findings in biology.
While searching for the cause of the disorder, etiopathy's main tools include ancient bonesetting methods as well as other manual techniques. These methods are developed in order to resolve specific problems due to minor, often unnoticed accidents that lead to abnormal physiological conditions which in turn lead to pain or illness.
Some examples of abnormal conditions which lead to pain or illness : many exist at different levels of the organism: sprains, congestions, muscular spasms, etc.
Proper treatment first requires an accurate analysis leading to the correct diagnosis. But then what ?
Once the etiopath has established that s/he can treat the disorder at hand, s/he eliminates its causes so that the organism can return to its normal, healthy functioning. In order to do this, s/he chooses among specific techniques the one(s) that will allow the reharmonization of the structural disorders, constituting the cause of the pain.
What are these techniques ? Are they painful ?
Etiopaths tend to their patients manually, using ancient bonesetting techniques and non-instrumental surgery. In etiopathy, the fundamental rule of no-pain must be followed. Manipulation of joints must never be forced, brutal or dangerous.
How many interventions normally constitute an etiopathic treatment ?
It all depends on the nature of the disorder. The longer the disorder has been present, the more problems will have to be resolved by the etiopath. In general, though, it is safe to say that the number of interventions averages three. For instance, one intervention will suffice for a sprained ankle. However, six or seven interventions will be necessary for more complex problems such as neuralgia or organic disorders.
How long do these results last ?
Not only are the results obtained quickly, but they also allow patients to return to permanent good health. Once the cause is eliminated, the symptoms disappear. The only thing capable of re-creating the cause and, hence, its effects, would be another accident.
Do etiopaths have a wealth of unusual knowledge?
Certainly. Etiopaths must have studied anatomy, physiology, neurology, biology and manual healing techniques for five years, not to mention methods of analysis and all the other sciences relating to establishing accurate diagnosis.
Is etiopathy involved in research ?
Etiopaths must constantly re-read and re-evaluate all major scientific theories and findings relevant to their work. During this re-evaluation, they pay special attention to the results presented and their interpretation, which often follow totalitarian modes such as encephalo-centrism.
